Rap-unzel

One upon a time, the year was 2020,

it was a time when everything, everyone, everywhere was in lockdown, lockdown.

So that’s why Rapunzel’s hair grew so long – no access to hairdressers, hairdressers.

She had to stay indoors, all alone.

The neighborhood bully did not obey the rules and went out and about, out and about –

sneaking here and there, here and there.

The bully would tease and make Rapunzel cry,

this did not stop and made her life a misery, a misery.

One day as Rapunzel watched and waited for the bully to appear,

call her names and make her cry, make her cry – he did not come.

The weeks turned into months, but the bully did not appear.

Then through the grapevine, Rapunzel heard the news – the bully had covid and was very ill in bed, ill in bed.

(This is where the rapping ends😊)

Rapunzel had a heart of gold and put together a basket of goodies from her household: Some shaving cream from Dad, a vanilla scented candle from Mom, cookies from her Granny and some candy from her secret stash.

The bully was super surprised to receive the gift of gold and did not understand how his unkindness to Rapunzel was rewarded with goodness. But as he thought about it, he realized that Rapunzel is a good kindhearted girl and his hardened heart was touched. He became kinder and nicer and when lockdown was lifted, Rapunzel and the bully became the best of friends. In fact, as the story goes, they got married and lived happily ever after.
