Creative Writing Club - December 2021 Schedule
About the Club
The aim is to build confidence around reading and writing in English, and a sense of community among the Club members. The focus is on developing analytical skills through reading and discussing short stories, and practising creative writing skills by mirroring the structures we encounter. By deconstructing the creative process we carve out space for inspiration, to generate ideas and tease those ideas into something truly wonderful. If you are feeling ready to share, there is an open invitation to read your writing to the group or bring a piece of writing you admire for us to enjoy.
About the Club Leader
I am an Online English Tutor, Language Learner & Creative Writing Enthusiast who wants to break down the barriers to creative writing for English Language Teachers so we can share our stories with confidence. (Read why here!) This role has a dual purpose for me: to teach and to learn, to experiment and improve, to listen and be heard. In sum, it’s an honour to lead this new club.
About You
The key requirements are to have an open mind and willingness to take risks. You will want to contribute by playing a role in the discussions and sharing your own writing. You know that by prioritising these creative acts and allowing yourself time to work on the process - results will come.
